Interesting chart showing the dichotomy between a team’s winning percentage, and their ability to sell tickets. It’s not matched up exactly, but, somewhat obviously, winning does translate into more fans.
The interesting outlier, to me at least, is Indiana. They’re playing well this year with the addition of David West and the continued maturation of Paul George and Pyscho T, but the Hoosier crowds would rather go watch IU or Purdue. Huh? Maybe Larry will make a splash before the trade deadline and people will start showing up more for games.

I like how the Warriors are the only team way under .500 (5 games) yet were among the ones who have highest attendance. Superstars don’t want to go to Golden State. Little do they know they will be welcomed with open arms and be loved by millions…And millions of the most loyal fans in the NBA.
